Accommodation on campsite Bijela Uvala

campsite Bijela Uvala, Istria

The lovely Bijela Uvala family campsite is located just outside Porec on Croatia's west coast, on the popular Istrian peninsula, not far from the city of Porec. The camp site is remarkable for its well maintained and ecologically responsible grounds, with typical mediterranean vegetation which provides plenty of shade. You can sunbathe on the beach or just laze around on specially constructed plateaus. The camp site has two swimming pools with shallow areas for young children. There are also trampolines and a lovely minigolf course for a bit of fun. If you want an active holiday there is tennis, volleyball and pony riding. You can also swim, surf, snorkel and dive in the clear blue Adriatic. Snorkelling is particularly poplular along the rocky coastline.

There is a suberb view of the clear blue Adriatic Sea from the bar terrace, swimming pool and restaurant, with views of the sea and the brightly coloured sailing boats that are moored here. You can play beach volleyball or tennis. Tennis is the most popular sport in Croatia. You can also swim, surf, snorkel and dive in the clear blue Adriatic. Snorkelling is particularly poplular along the rocky coastline.

There is plenty to see in the area. When you think of Istria you think of the Adriatic Sea, beaches and clear water but the mountainous interior is also beautiful. Idyllic villages are dotted along the coastline, interspersed with the remains of old Roman settlements. You can visit touristy Porec (just 5 km away), a town with lively restaurants and bars and plenty of history. The most renowned is probably the impressive basilica of Euphrasiana that dates back to the 16th century. Picturesque Rovinj, a bit further away with narrow lanes and an exceptionally beautiful location by the water, also makes a great day out. It's located on a peninsula and is especially popular with artists. Or visit Hum, the smallest city in the world. You also can visit the limestone cave of Baredine that is not too far from the campsite. Several rare animal species can also be found here. Enjoy a boat trip to Trieste or Venice.
