Located among Friesland's green meadows, forests, canals and lakes, is Friese Meren (formerly Camping t'Hop). An authentic parc with a peaceful atmosphere and plenty of family-friendly facilities. Plenty of space too - this is a parc that lets you rally relax in the heart of nature.
Take your pick of beautiful places to swim - the heated indoor pool on-parc, or Slotermeer lake just 500m away! And little ones can splash and play in the toddler pool onsite.
Hire a boat, paddleboard or canoe for more fun on the water - from the lake you can access a network of canals which take you to lakes and towns across the region.
The adventure continues back on dry land, with bike hire on-site (electric bikes too!) and brilliant cycle routes nearby. Kids will love the colourful playground and mini-farm, and grown-ups will love the traditional restaurant with outdoor terrace and cosy interior.

Little ones can splash about in their own paddling pool, while their parents keep a watchful eye, or join in with the fun! But on those hot summer days, why not stroll down to Slotermeer lake and paddle about in the shallows, or try a spot of wild swimming?

If you’re looking for an authentic Dutch experience, visit the historic towns which line Friesland’s waterways. Lemmer has a clean sandy beach, watersports facilities and marinas, while nearby Sloten is classed as a city despite having the population size and rustic charm of a village. Beside the parc sits Wikelerbosk forest, a natural site loved by walkers, wildflowers and wildlife.
