La Clairière sits at the heart of a beautiful 20,000-acre pine forest. Incredibly, there’s something even more special about this truly unique parc: a dreamlike tropical lagoon and white sand beach that’s just a stroll from your door.
Surrounded by a cocktail bar and straw parasols, the parc’s lagoon will be the focal point of your holiday. There's also a second aquatic complex with three heated pools (including one that's indoors) and a splash pad for the little ones. Kids and grown ups will love whizzing down the blue waterslide, too!
But with nature all around you, you’ll want to explore. Rent a bike and wind through the shaded woodlands on two wheels. Or how about heading to La Tremblade and its seemingly endless sandy beach for a spot of sailing or surfing? Back at the parc, if you can tempt your family out of the water, there’s bouncy castles, mini golf, sports tournaments and boules alleys to keep you active. Then it’s into the evening for perhaps a meal back at your place, followed by a spin around the dance floor.

At La Clairière, there are two pools to cool off in. The indoor pool is heated and covered so, in the event of some not-quite-tropical weather, there’s still plenty of aquatic fun to be had. Speaking of fun, the paddling pool is safe for little splashers to play in, while a 55m waterslide will have everyone in the family smiling as they zoom down it.

Local area
The easy-going Charente-Maritime region is home to long sandy beaches, charming villages, rolling vineyards and fragrant pine forests. Enchanting islands are within reach just off the coast, while historic towns like La Rochelle and Saintes provide you with plenty of rich culture to explore.
Just a little down the coast from La Clairière, you’ll find the historic seaside town of Royan. If you fancy a day of jumping waves, building castles and collecting shells, its selection of fine sandy beaches and rocky coves is ideal. If you’re feeling lucky, there’s a popular local casino too.
