Between Bordeaux’s historic town centre and the area’s vineyards you’ll discover Cote D’Argent. Though it’s ideal for wine lovers, it’s an outdoorsy sort of place loved by families, too.
The parc is just 300 metres from a sandy beach and set amidst a beautiful pine forest. Its wonderful new waterpark offers plenty of fun for adults and kids alike. There’s a section beneath a retractable roof, making early summer swimming possible, lots of slides and sprayground fun, and plenty of space for simply swimming in the sunshine. Being pool-side is so popular that we’ve put most of our accommodation close by. When evening arrives, look no further than Hourtin Plage, a nearby resort that’s brimming with lively restaurants in high season and offers a more laid-back atmosphere throughout the rest of the year.

Local area
This great parc is just an hour and half from historic Bordeaux. The town itself is listed as UNESCO world heritage site and it has over 350 points of interest. You can wander at your own pace or join an organised tour leaving from the Tourist office. For wine lovers, less than an hour away lies Pauillac with three great châteaux to discover - Château Lafite, Château Latour and Château Mouton-Rothschild. Alternatively take the short car ferry across the Gironde estuary and explore Royan or visit La Palmyre zoo.
