Domaine La Chabanne is located near the picturesque Châtel-Montagne, a village at the gates of the Montagne Bourbonnaise in the Auvergne. You have a beautiful view from the pool. The pool is neatly laid out and is a breath of fresh air on warm French summer days. Sunbeds are placed around for drying off after a swim or reading a good book. And even if the weather is less favorable, you can still do your laps. The cover goes over the pool, keeping wind and rain out. If you've had enough of the pool, the Plan d'Eau reservoir is just a few kilometers away. Here, you can play by the shore, swim, canoe, and pedal boats.Relaxed Days
Because the campsite is spacious, there is always a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. But that doesn't mean there's nothing for children to do. Right next to the pool is a fun playground for the youngest children. Here, they can play with peers and quickly make new campsite friends. And if this doesn't work in the playground, the table tennis table and the petanque court are also nice places to try.Fresh Bread Every Day
Wherever you are in France, good food and drink always play a role. That is no different at Domaine La Chabanne. Because the campsite owner bakes fresh bread every day, your day always starts well. You just have to walk to the reception to pick up your order. In the evening, you often join a cozy barbecue evening or choose one of the dishes from the small menu. And if all that deliciousness is not enough, you can also enjoy the tastiest cheeses, wine, and bread in the villages around the campsite.Sleeping Volcanoes
The rolling hills in the Auvergne have not yet been discovered by mass tourism. Here, you can enjoy your holiday undisturbed and truly be among the local population. The Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne is the largest regional park in Europe and is filled with dormant volcanoes. The area around camping Domaine La Chabanne, the Montagne Bourbonnaise, offers plenty of opportunities for sports enthusiasts. There are kilometers of cycling and hiking trails, various climbing rocks, and challenging mountain bike routes. The villages are also hidden gems, with old church towers and picturesque streets. The beautiful Romanesque church in the village of Châtel Montagne (7 km) is not to be missed! In the nearby wine region of La Côte Roannaise, the picturesque Saint-Haon-le Vieux, Le Crozet, or Rennaison are absolute recommendations. For a day of art and culture or a pleasant day of shopping, you can go to Vichy (30 km).
