campsite Park Albatros Village, Tuscany and Elba
Park Albatros is one of Tuscany's biggest and best equipped camp sites. The site is situated in a pine forest close to the beautiful and as yet unspoilt sea! You will find a wide choice of facilities in and around the camp site. There is a large shopping centre with a supermarket, butcher, exchange office, pizzeria, restaurant, bar and ice cream parlour. The toilet block is magnificent and there are special amusingly decorated toilets for children.
Park Albatros is a large campsite with lots of luxury and action, but quite intimate too. You can swim all day, or retreat to the shade of the pine forest with a book. Uno, due, tre, quattro, cinque piscine. Yes - 5 swimming pools! There are 2 lagoon-style and an olympic one when you want to do a few laps. And yes, there are waterslides too!
The pizzas from the wood-burning oven are delicious. Plus there are more restauarnts where you can sample the acclaimed regional cuisine and wine. Make sure to visit the 'Piazza Italiana' in the central part of the campsite. The children will have a great time. There's entertainment, games, a great playground and a new mini cinema for the little ones.
You can't miss the large campsite shopping centre. Try out the ice cream parlour or the brand new candy shop. It's easy to see why they call life in Italy 'la dolce vita'.
There's entertainment throughout the day and in the evenings. Talent shows, teenage discos, stand up comedy. Plus there are adventurous activities to have a go at, like climbing and gliding betweent he tree tops.
In these wonderful surroundings it is great to get out and about, also by bike (which can be rented on the camp site). Or how about a game of minigolf, football or bowling? There is a lovely swimming pool and a most unusual indoor pool which reminds you of an Arabian bathhouse.
The fishing town of San Vincenzo is situated by the beautiful Tuscan coast, just 20km north of the large harbour city of Piombino. The same distance away, but in the opposite direction, lies Cecina and if you continue north you will reach Livorno. The beaches along this coastline are magnificent.
There is so much to see in the vicinity that you won't be able to do it all in one holiday. Trips to Pisa, Florence and Siena for example. Just the journey there through the unrivalled Tuscan countryside is an experience in itself. You can take the boat to the island of Elba from the harbour at Piombino. Culture lovers will enjoy the many remains of the Etruscan civilisation. Reason enough to come back again!
