Accommodation on campsite Les Rives Du Luberon

campsite Les Rives Du Luberon, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

This site, located between Avignon and Aix en Provence on the banks of the Durance, offers a chance to relax in a Mediterranean climate in full view of the Luberon mountains. Set in such beautiful surroundings, its unlikely that you'll want to stay at the campsite during the day as there is so much to explore. However, a day's relaxation at the campsite is a nice way to break up your outings. The parc has a restaurant and bar to while away the balmy evenings. Other parc facilities include volleyball, football and mini golf. But if you want to get active, it’s all about exploring beyond parc.

There is a mini golf course, a play area inside and outside for children and a lovey pool, either to cool down or exercise with the aqua-gym. In the evening there are dance nights and karaoke. There are several pleasant walks starting at the campsite that will take you through the Durance basin.

Gordes has to be the most beautiful village in France. It is situated on a rock around a castle with foundations dating back to the 11th century. Nearby is another beautiful charismatic village known as La Fontaine de Vaucluse, and yes it has a fountain. Set between these villages is the impressive Senanque Abbey. Driving east you will come to Luberon, a magnificent nature reserve whose red rockshave have given this area its nickname 'Petite Arizona'. You could almost expect to see a cowboy here. The city of Apt is situated in the Luberon area and is also well worth a visit. About 5km from the campsite is the quaint town of Cavaillon and if you drive a little further you will come to Avignon. This magnificent ancient city was home to popes throughout the centuries and became famous worldwide from the children's song about its bridge. The Pont d'Avignon stretches halfway across the Rhône before ending abruptly, as it was never finished.
