The Les Charmilles campsite is an atmospheric and well cared for family campsite under Dutch management, lying at the heart of the Ardèche, close to the excellent shopping town of Aubenas. The 3-star campsite has a beautiful rural setting, is partially terraced and offers splendid views across the region. The grounds of the campsite are completely enclosed and your children can roam around safely. The campsite is particularly suited to young families because of its small-scale and convenient layout.
The campsite has many oak and cherry trees. There is an extensive entertainment programme in both the high and low seasons. A range of activities are arranged, such as games in the swimming pool, treasure hunts, pyjama discos and painting. There are also sports tournaments and evening shows.
There is a heated swimming pool with a toddlers' pool, both of which have sun terraces and loungers. There are playgrounds and a variety of sports fields, such as a jeu-de-boules field.

Day trips tp Vogüé with its imposing castle or the fortress of Balazuc are also amongst the options. These are some of the most beautiful villages of France. You can also visit the historic town of Largentière from the campsite or one of the many local markets. If you’re looking for impressive landscapes then you should visit the Pont d’Arc, a massive limestone arch over the Ardèche river, de Gorges de l’Ardèche, prehistoric caves, the Col de Meyrand (for people who are not scared of heights) and the waterfalls of Ray Pic.
The diversity of landscapes in such a small area offers many possibilities and sporting challenges for campers.
