Camping Les Genêts is situated right on the shores of the Pareloup lake, the largest recreational lake in the south of France and is a real paradise for watersports enthusiasts (swimming, water skiing, surfing, sailing and fishing).The camp site has its own swimming pool with jet streams and a separate shallow pool for the little ones with a small slide.
From the swimming pool you can look out over Lake Pareloup, one of the largest lakes in the South of France. Moreover, you walk off the campsite onto the beautiful sandy beach. Shops can be found in the town of Salles Curan five kilometres away. The area is also ideal for long walks or a pleasant bike ride. Nearby you can try your hand at every imaginable water sport, including surfing, water skiing, jet skiing and canoeing. And of course it's also great fun fishing in a boat on the lake. A forty kilometre journey will bring you to the highest bridge in the world, the Millau Viaduct. You have spectacular views 270 metres above the river Tarn. Take a sniff in the Roquefort caves and view the world look through the eyes of an insect in Micropolis.
The best way to explore the beautiful surroundings of the Aveyron region is by mountain bike or car. Take a drive along the River Lot, with its old towns, lovely bridges and excellent restaurants. Real knights will feel at home in the castle at Calmont d’Olt. Museum Micropolis is devoted to the insect world.
