Discover the countryside
As the name of the campsite tells you, it is located in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, a nature area in the heart of the Netherlands. This is a beautiful, wooded area. You'll find moraines, heaths, drifting sand areas and vast grassy floodplains. A beautiful area for walking and cycling. One moment you are in an enchanting forest, and then suddenly you will be surprised by beautiful views or centuries-old castles and mansions. So put on a pair of walking shoes, or rent a bike or e-scooter at the holiday park and head out!

Henschoter Lake, a paradise in summer
On the summer days the Henschoter Lake (known locally as Henschotermeer) is a great place to swim, sunbathe and play. This lake is surrounded by a beautiful white sandy beach and the edges are nice and shallow. This allows you to play and paddle with young children. Has all that swimming given you an appetite? Then get an ice cream or snack from the beach tent or one of the food trucks.
April 2021 will see the opening of a brand new indoor swimming pool at the Europarcs Resort. Race down the slide or have fun with the climbing elements. Watery fun guaranteed!

A play paradise for children
Resort De Utrechtse Heuvelrug has wonderful outside play opportunities for young and old. There is play equipment all around the site and the children will have a great time with the playground, sports fields, a zip line and a large trampoline. Not done playing? Then head into the woods and build your own hideout.
The enthusiastic entertainment team will also organise fun activities for children from 2021 onwards. The Kids Club is open to little ones from the age of four. Children from the age of eight will have fun in the forest with the 'Adventure Club'. The 'Fun Club' organises fun theme weekends and evenings for the whole family, with themes from Oktoberfest to Thomas the Tank Engine.
Have all the activities made you hungry? For a tasty meal à la carte you can take a seat in the restaurant. Or keep it nice and simple and get a large bag of fries at the snack bar.

And if you’d like to see even more animals, pay a visit to Ouwehands Dierenpark in Rhenen (approx. 32 km) or Dierenpark Amersfoort (approx. 13 km). In half an hour you can also drive to the lively city of Utrecht, where you can dive into the shops, or visit the impressive railway museum or the charming children’s museum all about Miffy the rabbit.
