Accommodation on campsite Siblu Le Conguel

campsite Siblu Le Conguel, Brittany (Bretagne)

At the tip of the Quiberon peninsula, Camping Le Conguel and its holiday park, located right on the beach, promises you relaxation and cultural enjoyment. You’ll have an unforgettable holiday here, interspersing trips around Brittany with slow-paced afternoons at the pool. Camping Le Conguel has plenty on offer: the more fitness-conscious can do some aerobics, tennis, table tennis, bowling or a nice long run on a hired bike, while the games room is kitted out for snooker, table football and games machines.

A fantastic leisure pool, with a range of slides and separate pools, also awaits — not to mention the campsite sauna and jacuzzi! In high season, this campsite in France has plenty in store to keep you and your children absorbed: smaller children can enjoy the mini-club while you head for aquagym or other water activities, a sports contest or other tournament, the disco, a karaoke event or a show. Shopping can be done at Camping Le Conguel’s campsite shop, but you can of course avoid the need for shopping by going for a meal or drink at the restaurant or the bar.

In the evening, the campsite has a few eating options with a restaurant, bar and takeaway. While there’s no evening entertainment onsite, the surrounding towns and harbours will no doubt offer something for the evenings.

The area around Camping Le Conguel has scope for riding, golf, sailing, surfing and fishing, and there are casinos on hand. Day trip venues include Belle-Île, Houat and Hoëdic (all islands); Morbihan Bay; Ste-Anne d’Auray and more. Not to be missed are the Côte Sauvage (‘Wild Coast’), with its towering rocks; Quiberon Bay; the beaches, and Port Maria.

The Quiberon peninsula juts out into the sea for 9 miles and has a rugged coastline full of rocky coves and sandy beaches. The beaches on the island are very varied. While the beach that the campsite is on is sandy and great for swimming, some of the waters around the island are too rough to swim in but are great for horse-riding or surfing. A short boat ride away from Quiberon is Belle-île-en-Mer , this is the second largest French island in the Atlantic and is truly stunning. Take the 20 minute passenger ferry and explore by bike, scooter or buggy.

In Quiberon there is a long white sandy beach that is perfect for swimming or sunbathing. The beach promenade is full of café’s, boutiques and waffle and ice-cream stands.

St-Pierre-Quiberon, a 15 minute drive away from the campsite is the main village of the island. It’s a fascinating place to explore with lots of fish restaurants, art galleries and traditional shops. Driving back onto the mainland, the area around Carnac is home to around 2000 menhirs (standing stones).
