Camping La Foret du Morvan is a beautifully situated small campsite at the Morvan, a magnificent scenic area in the Burgundy region of Central France! La Forêt du Morvan is a family campsite on a former farm with approximately 7,5 acres of forest en 16 acres of pasture.
The owner kept the campsite small so that the rural character of the site is maintained. There is a good distance between the pitches and every one has a wide and beautiful view. The camp-site is on a south facing hill and benefits from an abundance of sunshine. Camping La Foret du Morvan is in a perfect location for both those seeking peace and quiet and those interested in culture.
On the camp-ground you will find two types of tents for rent. pyramidtents and bungalowtents max. 5 persons.
La Foret du Morvan lies between the towns of Autun, Chateau Chinon and Luzy. The nearest village to the campsite is Larochemillay. Here, where a castle nestles against the hill, you will find the bakery/grocery, a restaurant an the post office. There are various festivities and markets to visit in the surrounding area during the season. In the vicinity of the camp-site is Mont Beuvray with its Celtic Museum, visitor centre and restaurant. During the season, archaeologists from all over Europe work on the excavations and can be observed in their work. You can take a free bus ride tot the top to enjoy the view and horse riding and tree-climbing are also available.
At the Lac des Settons you can rent a boot or pedolo and can sail or windsurf.

Werkelijk een fantastische camping voor ons gezin!! De ruime plekken met het fantastische uitzicht en het vele groen. En dan onze kinderen zij hebben zich zeer goed vermaakt. Er worden allerlei leuke activiteiten georganiseerd, brood boven het vuur, tractorritjes en een zeskamp. Ze vermaakten zich verder ook bij het meertje, op de speeltoestellen, op de hooizolder, met de skelters en natuurlijk ook met de konijnen. En het mee-eten was meer dan gezellig.

Pluim voor deze familie, zij maken er een zeer kindvriendelijk verblijf van. Even een klein minpuntje, het sanitair zou wat beter mogen. Verder alles een dikke 8.
