Camping L'Hippocampe, Argelès-sur-Mer. Camping Hippocampe provides all the ingredients for a fun-packed family holiday. Camping L'Hippocampe is the little sister of the larger campsite, La Sirène, situated on the opposite side of the road. This campsite is a lot smaller but does have many of its own facilities. A play area for the children, a multi sports terrain and a swimming pool.

There is a long sandy beach only a mile away at Argelès-sur-Mer, and an impressive choice of campsite activities. With a superb heated swimming pool with waterchute and waterslides, you also have access to the wide range of sports facilities, children’s clubs and evening entertainment at La Sirène, its larger sister site across the road. The lively evening entertainment at La Sirène can sometimes be heard.

Argelès-sur-Mer used to be located beside the sea but, due to peat-formation, nowadays it is located about a kilometre inland. On the coast the new Argelès-Plage has developed. Both towns have their own centre with shops, bars and restaurants but they practically run into each other. This means that along the way to the beach there's a lot going on. There is also a Port Argelès where mainly pleasure boats dock. Every kind of water sport is possible here. Sailing, sea kayaking, scuba diving, water skiing, pedaloe hire and more. You can catch your breath again at the beach or on one of the many terraces.
