for both beach lovers and culture vultures. The campsite is on the edge of the town of Saint Cyprie, where you will find many delightful shops as well as the picturesque harbour of Saint Cyprien some 500 metres further. The impressive medieval town of Carcassonne is certainly worth a visit, as are the many attractions of neighbouring Perpignan.

This southern part of the Languedoc-Roussillon is one of France's most popular holiday regions. The rolling hills, high Pyrenean mountains, aquamarine sea, feudal castles and picturesque villages are certainly worth exploring.

Throughout the area of Saint Cyprien there are 22.5 km of pedestrian, equestrian and bicycle paths. Some of the best trails run between the beach and the lagoon. Bikes can be hired from the campsite and be sure to pack a picnic to enjoy at one of the scenic spots.

For a fun-filled day out, the local waterpark of Aqualand St Cyprien, is brilliant with something for all ages including an adventure area for young children.

The medieval city of Carcassonne with its narrow streets is also a must. The children will be whisked back to the time of knights here in no time! Each week there is a market that sells produce from the local area. It's a wonderful opportunity to sample the French way of life! Enjoy the long stretches of beach along the aquamarine Mediterranean Sea. The area abounds with great terraces. It's even possible to do a day trip to Barcelona from here!
