Barely 200 metres from Lake Vazaux Sanguinet, Camping Airotel La Rive is a perfect spot to spend a camping holiday in France. Situated in the Landes region, Airotel La Rive is a five-star campsite with many comforts and luxurious facilities. Ideally located on the edge of the Biscarrosse lake with direct access to a private, sandy lakeside beach.

La Rive is located on the shores of the Biscarrosse lake, four miles from the small town of Biscarosse. Activity centres around the lake, lined by a sandy beach where a large variety of watersports are organised. Facilities are available for mooring customers’ own boats. There’s even a part of the lake set aside for children, with the rest of the body of water open to activities including watersports. Those who prefer swimming pools are also going to be happy at this campsite in France, as there’s a covered heated pool, an outdoor pool and a spa.

The whole family will enjoy the range of facilities from playgrounds and archery to the covered pool complex with waterslides, jacuzzi and toddler pools. Enjoy a drink on the outdoor bar terrace where evening entertainment is performed during high season. The campsite also boasts a supermarket, bar, restaurant, newspaper kiosk, cash machine (ATM), cycle hire and plenty more besides. There’s even a wellness centre — not for nothing is this a five-star French campsite!

Day trips you can make around Camping Airotel La Rive include the sandbank at Arquin, which lies at the edge of the Bassin d’Arcachon (an inlet of the Atlantic), between the giant sand dune of Pyla and the headland of Cap Gerret.

Dit is volgens ons wel terecht een vijfsterrencamping, proper en keurig bijgehouden. Weinig schaduw bij het zwembad, groot nadeel. Wel een prachtig aangelegd zwembad met leuke wildwaterbaan en heel geliefd bij onze kinderen. Verder hebben wij veel aan het meer vertoefd, kindvriendelijke plek met langzaam aflopend water. Boodschappen en het eten op de camping erg prijzig.

Heerlijk plek voor ons nog jong gezin. In het hoogseizoen was het zeer levendig, gelukkig stond onze luxe stacaravan aan de rand van de camping waar het rustig was. Onze kinderen waren niet weg te slaan uit het zwembad, veel diversiteit van waterspeeltoestellen tot glijbanen. Verder is het meer ontzettend kindvriendelijk, loopt lekker zeer langzaam af. Lekker gegeten in restaurant, het personeel was beetje kort aangebonden.

Werkelijk heerlijke camping met fijn zwembad en een fantastisch zandstrand aan het meer. Ook de zee hier in deze regio is natuurlijk fantastisch. Dat de animatie in het Frans was vonden wij niet zo'n probleem, onze kinderen doen toch wel mee met handen en voeten kom je ver... Personeel mag wel wat vriendelijker zijn her en der.

Een prachtige camping met veel voorzieningen. Kiezen tussen meer en zwembad en zee. De stacaravans staan wel hutje mutje, maar waar niet? Voorjaarsvakantie is hier een echt aanrader!

Mit eigenem Sanstrand und schöner Poolcomplex ein Spitze Campingplatz. Restaurant mittelmäßig. Beim Restaurant ist die Bedienung nicht sehr freundlich, fanden wir. Die Pizza und Pommes zum mitnehmen fanden wir prima.

In meivakantie deze camping bezocht: Zeer groot. Veel stacaravans. Prachtig zwembad, top voor alle leeftijden kinderen. Schitterende stranden. Beetje kale omgeving. De ligging aan het meer is perfect, heerlijk surfen. Restaurant matig.

TIPS:

"Bordeaux (op ongeveer uur rijden), Dune de Pilat. Arcachon. Watervliegtuigmuseum."

Op camping la Rive met 2 kleine kinderen (bijna 3 en 4,5 jaar) gekampeerd in luxe stacaravan. Zeker de moeite waard. Zwembad erg leuk, vooral het peuter- en kleuterbad. Ook het golvenbad binnen is erg leuk. Het meer aan de camping is ideaal. Heerlijke temperatuur en ondiep dus heel geschikt voor kinderen. Sanitair werd goed schoongehouden. Het water bij de douche was niet altijd warm. Afhaalpizza's waren lekker. In Biscarosse ligt een Lidl, echt aanrader want winkeltje op camping is erg duur.

Een grote, mooie camping. Een heerlijk zwembad, een fantastisch meer, lekker lang ondiep (indeaal voor onze 3 kids). Het winkeltje was top. Het sanitair schoon. De zee vind je op ongeveer 25 min afstand. De zee is een heel avontuur, met hoge golven, superleuk (wel oppassen met kleintjes natuurlijk). Jammer dat de animatie alleeen in het frans was. Veel duitse en engelse gasten.
