Campsite Cranac is situated not far away from the renowned menhirs (standing stones) at Carnac in Brittany. These remarkable and ancient rows of stone are something you simply must see. The Carnac beaches and Port de la Trinité are 2.5 miles away for those wanting to unwind at the seaside. For those who'd prefer to stay on the campsite, Camping Le Rosnual has plenty of facilities and is perfect for families: there’s a fantastic swimming pool with deckchairs, a children’s pool and a covered pool.

The area around campsite Carnac has a quaint country feel. Carnac is a noted prehistoric site, with its menhirs, dolmens (stone tombs) and burial grounds. The beach (Carnac-Plage) gives you a wonderful view out over the islands of Houat and Belle-Île and the Quiberon peninsula. The town of Auray, with its attractive medieval harbour of St-Goustan, is a fine place to visit. Morbihan Bay (a sheltered sea dotted with islets) is well worth a boat trip. The region where campsite Le Rosnual is situated lends itself excellently to trekking, whether on foot or by mountain bike. Children, too, will not go bored in this part of France: there are adventure parks to visit and a museum of prehistory.
