Château de Poinsouze

Camping Château de Poinsouze is a stunning 4-star campsite situated between Limoges and Montluçon in the Creuse department. The setting is truly romantic: the campsite covers 23 hectares within a vast 40-hectare estate, centred around a picturesque 15th-century castle and a lake. Offering plenty of peace and space, this top-rated site is particularly suitable for families with children up to around 13 years old.

Pools and Lake Activities
To cool off on warm days, the campsite offers a swimming pool with a slide and a separate toddler pool. There is also a fun water playground for the youngest guests. Please note that swimming is not permitted in the lake, but it is perfect for fishing (no permit required) and canoeing. Boats, pedaloes, and canoes can be hired at reception.

Never a Dull Moment
The enthusiastic entertainment team organises activities three times a day during the season, ranging from sports to arts and crafts. Children can burn off energy on the bouncy castle and trampolines, or visit the donkeys and goats at the petting farm. Active guests can enjoy the football, basketball, and badminton courts, use the fitness equipment, or hire bikes to explore the area.

Dining and Exploring
You don't need to leave the site for essentials: fresh bread and groceries are available on-site. The restaurant serves meals several days a week (a larger supermarket is 2.5 km away). The location is ideal for exploring the Creuse. Be sure to visit the Château de Boussac and the fortified town of Montluçon. Golfers will appreciate the nearby courses at Les Dryades and La Jonchère.
