Camping Chantegril (three stars) is located at 500 metres altitude, on the border of the Auvergne and Corrèze regions, right in the heart of France. This small and welcoming campsite offers just 47 pitches, including 39 touring pitches. Hospitality is at the heart of Johan and Carla, the campsite owners. Combine that warm welcome with peace, space and breathtaking natural surroundings and you have the perfect camping holiday. And of course, a child-friendly campsite includes a lovely swimming pool.

Glamping in the Limousin
Looking for beautifully located safari tents on a small campsite? Fancy a true glamping experience in the Limousin? At Chantegril you can choose between raised safari tents with steps leading up to them or safari tents at ground level with a wooden deck. All safari tents have a private toilet right next to the tent – and in the raised tents, even on the deck itself. The modern sanitary facilities are located in a charming, centrally positioned old farmhouse and are exceptionally clean and well maintained. In addition, Camping Chantegril offers a fully equipped mobile home with a large terrace for up to 4 people (ideal for extra comfort), a furnished pyramid tent with covered kitchen area for up to 4 people, and a cosy camping bungalow with its own toilet.

Relax, enjoy and dine together
Start your day with delicious fresh French bread, available each morning on the campsite. There is also a cosy bar, and on several days you can enjoy simple evening meals on site. Particularly popular are the evenings when grilled chicken is served – dining together at long tables with fellow guests. There is also a small restaurant within walking distance in the village.

The surrounding area is perfect for outdoor activities and an active family holiday. Think canoeing, mountain biking, hiking and horse riding. Charming towns and villages such as Salers and Le Mont-Dore are well worth a visit. Nearby you’ll also find a treetop adventure park and a child-friendly lake with beach at Liginiac (4 km).
