A modern site, close to the charming village and harbour of Jard-sur-Mer and perfect for a relaxing beach holiday. L'Oceano d'Or is a superb, well-maintained parc with plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained, including bicycle hire, tennis and basketball. The site offers a variety of high season family entertainment and live music in the special amphitheatre. L’Océano d’Or is a well-kept site, ideally situated in unspoilt countryside.

Offering spacious sun terraces for lazy afternoons, this pool complex is a hit with adults and children alike. You can lounge under the palm trees and relax to the sound of the waterfalls or enjoy the thrills of the family pool, plunge pool and waterslides. Take a short 4km drive to the sauna for that extra level of rest and relaxation.

The campsite buildings have been built in traditional Vendéen style and the spacious bar has a relaxed atmosphere. The grassy pitches are bordered with low hedgerows or small trees providing some privacy.

The beautiful beach at Plage de la Mine, just four miles from the parc, is backed by pine forests and has rock pools that will keep children entertained for hours. You can visit the zoo at Les Sables d’Olonne or the château at Talmont St-Hilaire. Visit the Atlantic Toboggan Waterpark at St Hilaire de Riez – children will love the waterchutes and huge slides.

Geen prettige sfeer op deze camping door het groot Chalet/Stacaravan gehalte. Prima zwembad, echter zoals zo vaak, in het hoogseizoen te weinig capaciteit. Verder ook niet echt een gezellig terrasje op de camping. Strand is wel op loopafstand, voor echte mooie stranden namen wij wel de auto. Kortom niet helemaal ons ding, volgende vakantie kiezen wij weer voor een klein campinkje met zwembadje.

Goed zwembad. Animatie matig, veel in het Frans. Tenten goed ingericht maar echt te weinig plaats eromheen.

Wij zaten in een luxe stacaravan, heerlijk comfortabel. Pluim voor de operator. Leuk zwembad prima voor een verkoelende duik. Het winkeltje op de camping is prima voor de nodige boodschapjes, verder is er een Lidl op loopafstand. De stranden op ongeveer 15 met auto goed te vinden en daar kon je hele genieten van de fantastische golven en het kitesurfen, boarden etc.

TIPS:

"La Rochelle, Tranche sur Mer of Les Sables d'Olonne. Of wat verder weg maar zeker leuk Nantes."

Der Campingplatz war sehr schön gelegen und wohltuend ruhig (Wir waren in der letzten Augustwoche und der ersten Septemberwoche da). Dass man zu Fuß zum Strand gehen konnte (ca. 15 Minuten) war angenehm. Für den schönsten Strand (La Mine) hat sich aber das Auto empfohlen. Für die Kinder gab es auf dem Campingplatz prima Spielmöglichkeiten (Tisch-Tennis, Tennis, Fußballcourt, Pool mit Rutschen). Die Betreuung war überragend: Jill und Carol erklärten alles und waren zur Stelle, wenn z. B. eine Gasflasche erneuert werden musste. Beide konnten übrigens auch gut Deutsch. Die Leute auf dem Camping-Platz waren sehr unterschiedlich (ältere Leute, Ehepaare mittleren Alters und junge Paare mit Kindern), aber alle sehr rücksichtsvoll. Man wurde weder durch laute Musik oder durch irgendwelche Feiern gestört. Nach den zwei Wochen haben sich meine Frau und ich richtig erholt gefühlt.

Wij vinden dit een prima camping. Mooi zwembad en een fijn overdekt zwembad. Animatie volop aanwezig en 24.oo uur is het stil. Veel Engelsen en Fransen maar ook genoeg Nederlanders (vonden onze kinderen dan weer belangrijk)

Zeer prettige ontvangst, aardig personeel. Mooie camping, goed onderhouden. Fijne voorjaarsvakantie gehad in een fijne compleet ingerichte bungalowtent van Rent-a-Tent.
