Camping Les Gros Joncs is located on L'lle d'Oléron on the west coast of France, walking distance from the beautiful Vendée sand dunes; a paradise for children and for water sport aficionados! You will find Les Gros Joncs campsite in the shelter of the dunes and in the woods by the Atlantic coast. The campsite has a unique location: on the island of Île d'Oléron which is connected to the mainland by a bridge. Fort Boyard is right across from the island in the middle of the sea.

You can be sure of a relaxing holiday in the middle of a countryside full of flowers. But there are still plenty of things to do. You are only 600 metres from a lovely sandy beach and you can go surfing, sailing, canoeing/kayaking and fishing in the vicinity....
The children will have a great time at the campsite's swimming pool complex (indoor and outdoor with separat children's pool) while you can enjoy the luxury and relaxation you deserve in the jacuzzi and Turkish bath!

The campsite has a number of facilities; Spa including sauna and Turkish Bath. Restaurant and snack bar april-sept. Gym and bike rentals.

The area surrounding L'lle d'Oléron is ideal for the water sport lover. You can surf, sail, canoe, kayak or fish! The region also has a lot to offer on the culture and history front, so make sure you get out and enjoy a hiking or biking trip in the surrounding area. You could spend a day with the family studying the wine growing or oyster farming heritage of the region, the fishing ports, Fort "Royer" south of Boyardville or the sailing museum.
