Le Val de Durance

A well-protected peaceful haven in the Luberon nature park. There is a distinctly family feel to this wooded site between the Durance river and the Luberon. The swimming pool and 9 acre private lake (complete with sandy beach) provide plenty of activity for all. Cadenet is also a great base from which to explore Provence.

The campsite has turned our swimming pool into an water centre with a new twisting slide, a new-looked and enlarged solarium area ...and a new water garden for the smallest ones! The Kids’ Club at the Val de Durance, hugely popular with children, can look after youngsters from the age of 6 to 11 years and provide them with plenty of activities and games to ensure they take away lasting memories of their family holiday. They can also enjoy themselves in the play area, ideally located facing the lake.

The campsite's private four hectare lake has equipped fishing spots for those who love to spend a day peacefully casting their line and waiting for a bite. As for the more adventurous, they can set off on an afternoon's rafting of simply enjoy a trip in a canoe or kayak.

Bait your hook and cast your line! There are plenty of spots close by for you to go fishing. For those feeling lazy, the pétanque court and aquagym lessons are also on-site. A quick dip in the pool and you'll soon find enough energy for a match on one of the multisport courts.

At the Val de Durance, you will be welcomed by our dynamic and cheerful staff in a setting rendered exceptional by the lake and surrounding countryside. You can get a quick bite to eat at any time of the day at the café, ideal for when holiday activities make you a little hungry!

Cadenet is a typical Provençal village, perched on a hillside and overlooked by the ruins of a medieval castle. The ruins themselves have been converted into a site for exhibitions, concerts and shows. The lush, green surroundings are perfect for a picnic and, for the sporty types, there is a fitness trail.

Leisure activities include thermal springs in Aix en Provence (Thermes Sextius), walking, fishing (in the Durance and the Verdon), mountain biking, horse riding.

Explore the Lubéron park, the gorges of the Régalon, the Provence, the cedar forest and the botanical path of Bonnieux, the Durance river.
