The 385-kilometre-long Romantic Road is one of Germany's most popular tourist routes, stretching from the River Main to the Alps. Camping Romantische Strasse is situated in Creglingen, right on this famous route and nestled in the beautiful, green Tauber Valley. You will stay on a well-maintained terraced campsite with plenty of trees providing welcome shade in summer. Several pitches are located right next to the Herrgottsbach, a small stream that flows through the grounds.

Pools and Dining
The campsite boasts a spacious, heated indoor swimming pool. If you prefer outdoor swimming, there is a reservoir nearby perfect for a dip in nature. The on-site restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes. A particular highlight is the spacious beer terrace, where you can enjoy excellent, locally brewed German beer. Accommodation options include modern mobile homes and unique 'hammock rooms' for an adventurous night's sleep.

A Royal Environment
The Romantic Road winds through a stunning region filled with attractive towns, half-timbered houses, medieval gates, and baroque churches. Just 3 km away in Creglingen, the Riemenschneider Altar in the Herrgottskirche is a must-see. The picture-perfect medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber is only 15 km away. At the same distance, in Weikersheim, you will find the magnificent palace of the Princes of Hohenlohe. Another castle belonging to this famous family can be found in Schillingsfürst. A visit to the university city of Würzburg (40 km) is also highly recommended. Carefully restored to its former glory after the war, it is a wonderful place to wander and admire the beautiful architecture.
