We couldn’t resist setting up camp here once we saw the 6 beaches – all accessed directly from site, with one that has a playground for kids – plus a water sports centre and diving club offering trips to underwater caves. Back on dry land, you’ll find a restaurant, pizzeria by the beach, coffee bar, cocktail bar, supermarket and daily fish market. Other facilities include tennis courts, beach volleyball and a payable climbing wall, with instructors on hand to help. The parc organises lots of entertainment and events throughout July and August, including weekly fire shows and movie nights.

Bars, cafes, restaurants, pastry shops and ice-cream vendors: it would be easier to tell you what Simuni doesn’t offer. Mali Raj is an intimate gourmet restaurant offering wonderfully authentic cuisine. Pescaria tavern is seafood heaven, and there’s a beach pizzeria too. Add to that a selection of easy-dining options, burger bars, Asian food and bakeries, and wonderfully atmospheric bars and you’ll see why Simuni is hard to beat. Add summer-long entertainment and the deal is sealed!
