Beschrijving

Single Parent Camping Au Bord de l'Ourthe is a cosy campsite situated in the green valley of the Ourthe, right in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes. The campsite grounds are located directly on the banks of the river.

On the Campsite
The facilities on site are well-maintained, with tidy sanitary blocks. Besides pitches for your own tent, caravan, or trailer tent, the campsite offers various comfortable rental accommodations, such as fully equipped Safari tents (some with private facilities) and sturdy Army tents. The layout ensures sufficient privacy while making it easy for spontaneous meetings with other single-parent families to occur.

Relax at the Pool bar with its cosy seating area, or enjoy the lovely swimming pool equipped with wooden loungers, parasols, and beautiful planters. Every evening, guests gather around the campfire to chat, play games, and toast to new memories.

The campsite is particularly suitable for single-parent families with older children/teenagers, thanks to the wide range of outdoor activities available. Daily activities are organised for children, tailored to their age and wishes. An outdoor centre located in an old mine, featuring a real challenge course, is just a stone's throw away.

Right by the River
Au Bord de l'Ourthe borders the river Ourthe, a stretch popular with canoeists between Hamoir and Comblain-au-Pont. There is a scenic cycle path along the river, and the campsite offers yellow bicycles that are free to use for a quick trip to the village shop. Fishing in the river is also possible.

The village of Comblain-au-Pont, with its charming shops and cafes, is less than a ten-minute drive away. Rivage, an old mining village, is located about 20 kilometres south of Liège. While the famous caves of Remouchamps are nearby, the caves of Comblain-au-Pont are perhaps even more impressive.

The surrounding area offers countless opportunities for cycling, hiking, and mountain sports. Popular activities include mountain biking, climbing, abseiling, and hiking. A visit to the old quarry, the Abbey of Banneux, or the picturesque town of Durbuy is highly recommended. For those willing to travel a bit further, Liège is a must-visit: a lively city with a beautiful centre and a bustling Sunday morning market. The city is also easily accessible by train.

The unique concept of this Friends2Camp campsite ensures that both parents and children have plenty of opportunities to make new friends during their holiday.
