Nestling in a natural tree-filled environment, the Orbitur Angeiras camping park lies opposite a beautiful beach in northern Portugal. The campsite is located at Matosinhos, a port town with huge stretches of golden sand, where you can practise a wide range of water sports. Lots of Portugese people love to visit here during the weekends and holidays. Angeiras has a big boulevard where the many restaurants open their doors during high season. In the low season it is lovely and quiet here.
Of course, you cannot miss out on a trip to Porto. Don't forget to visit the historical district of Ribeira by the river Douro; a beautiful area filled with little bistros serving local food. Do you love fish? The daily fish market in Angeiras is sensational. Visitors come from far and wide for a look. Take a lovely piece of fish back to the campsite for your BBQ, or perhaps you prefer to eat at one of the charming fish restaurants along the boulevard.The bus to Porto stops in front of the campsite every hour. During your stay, you can explore the Douro Valley, famous for its terraced vineyards. You can also go on some beautiful trips in its hinterland, full of attractive landscapes and historical villages.
