Looking for a lovely, green, flat campsite on the River Cèze in the Gard department (Occitanie), with views of the surrounding hills? Les Amarines, a 4-star campsite, has good facilities and is family-friendly. The campsite is within walking or cycling distance of Goudargues, a charming village with shops and restaurants.
Water fun in a sunny climate
The heated outdoor pool is an attractive spot, with a terrace and sun loungers. The pool is open from mid-April. Bermuda shorts are not allowed. In high season, sporty activities are organised. A day by the pool is a real treat here. For a refreshing drink, you can head to the bar. There’s a small campsite shop for daily essentials and camping gas. And besides the pool, you can also cool off at the small riverside beach area.
Discover the Gard from Les Amarines
Explore lovely villages such as Lussan and Montclus. One of the prettiest here is La Roque-sur-Cèze—wander through its narrow lanes. From there, visit the Le Sautadet waterfalls (don’t miss them; they’re well worth it). Around 30 km from the campsite you’ll find Vallon Pont d’Arc. The larger towns of Orange and Avignon are also both ideal for a day out.
