Tranche sur Mer and a huge sandy beach just 700 m away. La Tranche sur Mer is also known as the French "Little California" because of its sunny climate and its sweet environment. There is something for everyone here, all year round: a covered, heated swimming pool, slides, a paddling pool, tennis, football, mini golf, a gym, a sauna... and 13 km of beaches! This will provide you with plenty of choice when it comes to swimming unless, of course, you prefer a trip to the nearby theme park "La Petite Californie Française", which is also known for its surfing and body-boarding.

OK, family, it’s off to the water park and off season you can enjoy the heated pool both outdoors and indoors, with its water slide. The entertainment team at the Kids’s Club will welcome your children, helping them find new friends and letting them participate in many educational, creative and sports activities.

The liveliest among you can switch between the tennis court, football, mini-golf, table tennis, the games arcade and the fitness studio with sauna for relaxation.

Ride the waves at La Tranche-sur-Mer, then surf the restaurants and walks along the 9 km of open beaches along the southern shores of the Île de Ré.

Visit the aquatic centre and fitness and beauty centre at Tranche sur Mer (L'Auniscéane and Oriental Spa Aquatic Centre), indulge in some thalassotherapy in Sables d'Olonne (Thalassotherapy fitness centre and Thalassotherapy institute), stroll in the Parc du Puy du Fou, the Indian Forest leisure park, ride the little tourist train (every day in July-August), try go karting at La Jonchère, discover the zoo at Sables d'Olonne, and Sealand aquarium at Noirmoutier.
