Holidaying on the Markermeer? Resort EuroParcs Markermeer is in a prime location in North Holland. From a sheltered location, guests of this lovely holiday park look out over beautiful typical Dutch waters where the flute ships used to pass by. The fact that these ships have since disappeared should not spoil the fun. The short distance from Enkhuizen and Hoorn makes the location of this park really special. Where once lay the Zuiderzee, there are now plenty of water sports on the Markermeer.

For example, the history of the Golden Age really comes to life in Enkhuizen, with its monumental buildings, defences and, of course, the Zuiderzee Museum. The same goes for Hoorn, which was one of the most important trading centres for the V.O.C. And how about the Klimpark Streekbos in Bovenkarpsel.
