Then Family Camping Poglitsch on Lake Faak is an excellent choice. Located in the sunny south of Carinthia, this welcoming campsite offers grassy pitches, often set among deciduous trees and partly shaded. The modern sanitary facilities are carefully maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay.

Lake fun and mountain adventures – active holidays for all
Whether you enjoy relaxing on the well-kept sunbathing lawn or splashing about in the lake with your children, there is something for everyone here. Faaker See features both pebble and grassy beaches, and the water is pleasantly warm throughout much of the season thanks to the region’s high number of sunshine hours.Children quickly make new friends in the relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere. Play equipment is spread throughout the campsite, allowing them to play safely while remaining within sight.
Explore lake and mountains
Discover the lake by paddle boat or canoe and enjoy the impressive Alpine scenery. Canoes can be reserved free of charge (subject to availability). Fishing is also possible, and further information is available at reception.

For walking enthusiasts, the surrounding region offers hiking routes of varying lengths and difficulty levels – from gentle family trails to more challenging mountain paths leading to traditional alpine huts and flowering meadows.
Activities and excursions
During the main season, family and children’s activities are organised, including fun games and sports events. The friendly reception team is happy to provide advice on hiking, climbing and cycling opportunities.

The area is well suited to relaxed cycling around the lake, with mostly gentle gradients. For more experienced riders, mountain bike trails offer exciting downhill routes through the mountains.
