campsite Oliva, Istria

This area was once a large olive grove and the green hills surrounding the campsite are still home to trees from that time. From there you have a wonderful view over the entire bay. The campsite is part of a large holiday complex and has direct access to the sea with its own pebble beach.

Children can play in the water all day here because it's shallow with no current and the sea is crystal clear. They can also play in the playground or in one of the large swimming pools, where you'll also find plenty of space to relax and sunbathe. The sports on offer are varied, from mini golf to tennis. The swimming pool is free but there is a small charge for most other facilities.

In the evenings there's always a big party at the large terrace with good shows and music, sometimes live. If you like more terraces you only have to walk along the boulevard for 15 minutes to the nearby fishermen's village of Rabac.

The grounds are beautifully laid out and close to a pebble beach. A picturesque track leads to the village of Rabac. There are restaurants, a pizzeria and shops close to the camp site. You can take a refreshing dip in the lovely swimming pool, with views of the wooded hills.

There are also plenty of opportunities for sport: a game of table tennis, tennis on the courts or minigolf in the park. There is an indoor pool and a fitness room in the hotel.. But the biggest attraction is the Adriatic with its clear water, and where you can swim, surf or dive to your heart's content. You can enjoy a pizza or a full meal in the restaurant with views of the sea. Live music on the terrace, a cocktail and a gentle see breeze complete this holiday feeling.

The eastern coastline of the Istrian peninsula borders the Kvarner Bay, with the elongated islands of Cres and Krk on your doorstep. Many people like the Istrian east coast at Kvarner Bay more than the western side which borders the Adriatic. It's much more rocky, with lots of nature to enjoy.

Hop on the ferry in Brestovac for a day trip on Cres. There are also ferries to Krk and Mali Losinj, so a few days island hopping, watching the dolphins en route, may not be a bad idea.
Rent a boat, and don't forget your fishing gear. On the hill above the campsite is the medieval city of Labin, There are many restaurants there that offer a great view whilst you dine.
