Europacamping Nommerlayen is situated at the head of a picturesque wooded valley and has large and private terraced emplacements, and is a superb base for a walking, cycling, sightseeing or an action packed on-site holiday. Not only will you find the beautiful countryside of the Grand Duchy all round the camp site but you are within a short distance of the Belgian Ardennes, the Mosel Valley in Germany, Saarland, northern France, Little Switzerland in Luxembourg's Grevenmacher province and the town of Trier in Germany.

Nommerlayen Camp Site in Nommern distinguishes itself from the average site by the enormous attention it gives to the whole family. It will be difficult to find a better place for a holiday with children than Nommerlayen Camp Site! Most unusual is Nommerlayen camp site's policy of encouraging families with children of the same age group to camp close to each other: the youngest children together and older children also. Fun and safety for children is uppermost at Nommerlayen Camp Site.

Great for families with children
There is an excellent pool area with three pools, including one for the children to play in with a waterslide and a large inflatable. If they tire of swimming, there is an extensive range of sporting facilities – try ten-pin bowling, snooker, football or volleyball. The 50 metre slide is a main feature of Nommerlayen Camp Site as are the children’s disco, bowling, karaoke and billiards, all of which guarantee hours of fun. Not to mention the swimming pool with underwater jets, bouncy toys, a 50 metre pool and a special splashing pool with plenty of toys for the smallest children. There is a new indoor pool adjoining the outdoor pools at Nommerlayen Camp Site.

There are other facilities on this terraced camp site; an excellent restaurant and good (children’s) toilet facilities with underfloor heating. There is a chance to relax in the sauna and whirlpool. There is a special fitness with ‘slender-you’ apparatus at the site. Nommerlayen is therefore a wonderful destination for everyone!

The immediate vicinity of Nommerlayen camp site is beautiful. 'Nommerlayen' means literally The Nommen Rocks. These unique rock formations which you also find in Müllerthal are made from sandstone and have steep sides and caves. The Romans and Celts had settlements here. You can take lovely walks or go by mountain bike. But visit nearby Larochette, the capital Luxembourg city or Echternach which has a recreational lake.
