campsite Zaton Holiday Village, Dalmatia
Zaton camp site is located on the Adriatic, about 15 km from the town of Zadar in the south of Croatia. Zaton on the deep blue water of the Croatian coast calls itself a 'Family Paradise' and that is no overstatement. It is much more than just a camp site. Camping Zaton Holiday Resort is very suitable for all the whole family. Pine trees which provide plenty of shade and atmosphere cover the beautiful grounds which face the sea and have the mountains as a background. Moreover the camp site is right by the beach. There is a sandy beach and a pebble beach with a slide and climbing frames in the water.
There is a large swimming pool complex with a view over the Adriatic Sea, with separate shallow sections for small children where they can splash around.. The campsite has a sandy beach, which is rare in Croatia. The beach is very suitable for your children because it is gradually sloping into the sea. At Zaton Holiday Village there are several restaurants, excellent sports facilities (tennis, beach volleyball, diving, horse riding and much, much more!) and a fun entertainment programme (also on the beach) for young and old.
Zaton Holiday Resort has its own shopping centre with multiple shops, restaurants and terraces which are opened until late in the evening. The campsite offers an extensive animation program during the day, and during the evenings there is live music and other animation available. Teenagers will have a good time in the disco just outside Zaton Holiday Resort.
The coastal village Nin is close to camping Zaton Holiday Resort and worth visiting. There is even a train driving between the campsite and Nin. Or visit the old Roman city centre of Zadar. The Plitvitce lakes, which are protected by the UNESCO, can be found on a 2 hours drive from camping Zaton Holiday Resort.
