Le Zagarella (Saint-Jean)

Camping Le Zagarella is an excellent choice for a relaxing holiday in the Vendée: it has all the right ingredients — it’s set in a pine forest between the sea and a lakeland district! A small campsite set in a lovely fragrant pine wood, with a popular waterchute and indoor pool. The beach, and also the town centre of Longeville-sur-Mer, are only 3 km away from the campsite.

Zagarella is a modern, family run campsite with a wide range of facilities, including a tennis court, well-equipped gym and sauna. The shaded bar patio overlooks the attractive swimming pool complex with waterchute, waterslides, indoor pool and great children’s pool with slides. Children will enjoy the adventure play area and the family disco and entertainment programme organised by site staff.

St Jean-de-Monts is two miles north, and the beach at Plage des Demoiselles is a short drive away. Why not hire a bike at reception and take a pleasant ride down to the beach.
Make sure you also drop in at St-Jean-de-Monts market and explore some of the extensive wetlands near the town. You can visit Île d’Yeu from Fromentine, or visit the Prehistory Centre at St-Hilaire-la-Forêt.

Camping Zagarella is just two miles away from the popular resort of St Jean-de-Monts with its magnificent beaches, excellent shops, market and restaurants. Inland, there’s acres of pine forests perfect for walking and cycling. If you’re a birdwatcher, don’t miss a visit to La Héronniere which is home to hundreds of nests of herons and egrets.

Don’t miss the middle-ages themed Puy du Fou, a long-time favourite theme park. The historical re-enactments are legendary.
