Camping L'Isle Verte nestles in a valley in the Loire. Camping L’Isle Verte - green island - lives up to its name: it is certainly wonderfully green right by the river making the level terrain seems really natural. There is plenty of room for children to play under the old trees in the middle of the grounds where there is some play equipment, a new playground and jeu-de-boules. Next to this is a swimming pool with a toddlers'pool and a tennis court.

The restaurant at Camping L'Isle Verte serves tapas, regional dishes and grills. Besides camping in your own tent, caravan or motorhome you can also stay in modern mobile homes for 4 to 6 people. The tourist office for the small town of Montsoreau is right next to the camp site, convenient for cultural trips out! This camp site in France has its own fish pond.

Montsoreau is a so called ‘Village de Charme’, an unusual title resulting from its picturesque and protected buildings. There is a small white castle on the river with the medieval town behind it. You will be in on of the most beautiful parts of the Loire valley, in the middle of France between Saumur and Tours. Further afield are the many fairytale chateaux of the Loire. You will run out of time! How about the chateau and interesting museum at Samur? Or the medieval citadel at Chinon? The fairytale castle at Ussé or the historic centre of Tours? If it's a culinary trip you are looking for don't miss out on the many wine producers of the Loire. Thye Doué-la-Fontaine zoo and toadstool museum are fun places to visit with the children.
