Take time to unwind on the sunny terraces that wrap around the parc’s inviting pool complex, which includes three outdoor pools. While the island itself can have busy traffic, the parc is located in a quiet area of Saint-Georges d’Oléron, with cycle hire available on parc and good access to the many cyclist-only roads that run around the island. And if you fancy hunting down nature, you’re in luck: Saumonards forest is only 1 km away.

Local area
The town of St Pierre d'Oléron is close to the parc and is home to the island's main museum exploring Ile d'Oléron's history and culture. Just beyond are Jardins Botaniques de la Boirie botanical gardens. Famous Fort Boyard can be seen from Ile d'Oléron, but you can get a bit of a closer look on one of the regular boat trips. Take in some more of the island's sights on 'Le Petit Train' which departs from St Trojan les Bains a short drive away.
