Located on the banks of the River Ardèche, Camping de Peyroche is a delightful 3-star site. It is a manageable, family-friendly campsite offering both shady and sunny pitches in the green heart of the region. This serves as an ideal base for hikers and cyclists, with beautiful trails running right along the river.

River Swimming and Relaxation
Please note: this campsite does not have a swimming pool, but with the cool river right on your doorstep, you won't miss it! The Ardèche flows very gently here, making it safe for swimming, and there is even a small sandy beach. If you prefer a pool, there is an indoor one 10 km away. On-site, you can hire kayaks and canoes to paddle down the river, and there is a playground for children.

Nature and Action
The River Ardèche winds through a stunning landscape of steep cliffs and rolling green hills. Must-see attractions include the Grotto of Madeleine and the spectacular Gorges de l’Ardèche (both approx. 30 km away). The charming medieval village of Ruoms is just 2 km from the site. Just south of the campsite lies 'Adventure Camp', a climbing park for all ages. Families also love 'AirJey Filets', a treetop net park where children and adults can scramble safely high above the ground.

City Day Trips
Camping de Peyroche is located roughly between two major cities: Lyon and Montpellier. History buffs will love Lyon, with its Roman amphitheatre and ancient churches. Montpellier offers a more modern vibe, featuring a fine art museum and an impressive Arc de Triomphe in the city centre. Both make for excellent day trips.
