Family campsite Wedderbergen is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Groningen, surrounded by forests and water, and invites guests to enjoy a relaxing and varied camping holiday. The campsite is situated along the Westerwoldse Aa, with pitches set on grassy fields bordered by greenery.

An active holiday or total relaxation?
Go-karts and bicycles can be rented on site. In the nearby harbour of Wedderveer, boat trips are available and canoes can be hired. The indoor swimming pool is extra special: on sunny days, parts of the roof and walls can be opened.

The campsite also features its own natural swimming lake with a sandy beach that slopes gently into the water, making it ideal for young children. During school holidays, a varied programme of active and creative activities is organised for all ages. Older children and teenagers will love the activities at the lake, such as raft building, survival challenges and tubing. There are also fun extras like poker tournaments and disco evenings.

Explore nature and the surroundings
Directly from the campsite you can go walking, cycling, fishing and boating. Bicycles and canoes are available for hire, perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside. Within cycling distance you’ll find Dinopark Tenaxx, featuring a dinosaur forest with an exciting survival course. Animal lovers will enjoy a visit to the seal sanctuary Zeehondencentrum Pieterburen, or head to Emmen for Wildlands Adventure Zoo. Walking and cycling routes lead you past heathlands, forests and stream valleys. For a cultural day out, visit the historic fortress Bourtange, the Museum Railway STAR, or the UNESCO-listed Ter Apel Monastery. Together, the campsite and its surroundings guarantee a successful holiday.
