This region is known for its history of extracting peat for fuels in the Middle Ages and beyond, and is one of the most bird-rich areas in the western part of Europe. The campsite is surrounded by lots of nature, and is directly located at a recreational lake. Furthermore, on the holiday park you can find a large indoor playground, as well as a large outdoor playground. So there is a lot to do for the kids.

You can start your day on the holiday park which fresh sandwiches and baked buns, which you can get at the baker in the supermarket. And during lunchtime or in the evening you can enjoy a meal at the bistro; Festina. For a quick bite you can also hop by the snack-bar/cafeteria or the pizza service. Discover the Peel
The town of Wanroij is located on the edge of the region the Peel. This makes it an excellent starting point for a long hike through the region, or a more extensive bike trip. The nature in the Peel is amazing to experience. You can also visit the city of Nijmegen, a historic city with a lot of history. The city if Den Bosch is also worthwhile to visit, with small streets and little canals (perhaps you should try to take a tour on the "binnendieze", these small canals run through and under the city of Den Bosch and offer a stunning view of the cities history.)
