There are plenty of trees on the camp site and everything is well cared for. There is a playground for the children, fields for volleyball, basketball and football and you can always cast a line in the river, within walking distance of your own tent, caravan or motorhome.
You are soon at Wertheim Castle with beautiful views of the river. You can also do it the other way round; you will see the surroundings through totally different eyes from a sightseeing boat on the Main. There is plenty to see in this area where the Tauber flows out into the Main: the vineyards on the winding route of the river, typical German towns, the Romantische Straße tourist route and larger towns such as Heidelberg and Würzburg.
