Plenty of indoor and outdoor water fun
The eye-catcher at this campsite is the lovely heated outdoor swimming pool with cosy children's pool and play equipment. In less clement weather the pool can be covered, which is nice. Around the pool you can use the sun loungers to relax and enjoy your holiday. For the children, the campsite has a fun playground, kids' club, multi-sports field and entertainment in high season. Teenagers will find fun video games inside, a pinball machine and even an electronic shuffleboard. So boredom is not an option at La Grainetière campsite.

Discovering the island by bike
The small island of Île de Ré has the same beautiful beaches as the rest of the Charente-Maritime, but its atmosphere is markedly different. It is quieter and more convivial. The cycle path network now covers over 100 kilometres, making the island a real family destination. The sandy beaches are on the south coast, the salt flats in the north-east and the middle part is forested. St Martin-de-Ré and La Flotte in particular are cosy villages within cycling distance of the campsite. The nearest larger town is La Rochelle on the other side of the 3-kilometre-long toll bridge to the mainland.
