Accommodation on campsite Landgoed Molecaten

campsite Landgoed Molecaten, Gelderland / Veluwe

Between monumental beech and oak trees, south of the fortified town of Hattem, where the Veluwe massif merges into the IJssel valley, lies the cozy Landgoed Molecaten. Are you looking for peace and a personal atmosphere? Then you are at the right place at Landgoed Molecaten. Families looking for fun will also have a great time here. This is a holiday spot where you can still camp purely. Or you can opt for the cozy Bos-huus, a nice little bungalow with a sunny terrace and fully equipped for 4 people.

During the summer holidays, a nice entertainment program is provided by the campsite. Furthermore, after an active day you can relax on the attractive terrace by the canteen while enjoying a beer or soft drink and/or a simple snack.

Discover the Veluwe and the IJsselvallei
From the campsite you can discover the beautiful Veluwe and IJssel valleys on foot or by bike, and there are countless trips to take with children. The managers Frans & Aafke are great nature lovers! The campsite is a member of the Association of Hospitable Estates and Castles.

The camping site and 't Bos-huus are located on the 130 hectare estate Molecaten with beautiful coniferous and deciduous forests. Here you will find foxes, deer and wild boars and you can hear the birds chirping all day long. If you want to discover the oldest beech tree in the Netherlands, you can do that at Landgoed Molecaten. (400 years old Mary Beech). Conviviality, culture and history can be found in the fortified town of Hattem, the Hanseatic city of Zwolle, the former Zuiderzee town of Elburg and of course Paleis 't Loo in Apeldoorn.

Child-friendly?
Children experience the most beautiful adventures in the forest, on the water or in an amusement park. They will not soon forget a visit to the Dutch Bakery Museum, the Speelerij and the Klimbos! In good weather they can also build sandcastles and swim at Heerderstrand. And if the weather is bad, you can visit the indoor playground Ballorig in Hattem.

A stay during the rutting season of the red deer (approx. 15 September - early October) is particularly nice. If there is sufficient participation, the manager of Landgoed Molecaten will be happy to organize an excursion to the Hoge Veluwe to view the bellowing red deer from a distance (€).

Good to know
Guests of Landgoed Molecaten can use the indoor and outdoor pool at Molecaten Park De Leemkule (approx. 2 km) or Molecaten Park De Koerberg (at approx. 10 km). The recreation area Heerderstrand with a beautiful beach and clean bathing water is about 11 km by bike/16 km by car.
