As for countryside, the Luxembourg Ardennes are magnificent, regardless of whether it’s summer, autumn, winter or spring. You will spend your holiday less than ten kilometres from Clervaux, the largest town in the north of Luxembourg, and noted for the white Clervaux castle and Benedictine Monastery. If you drive past it on your way to Camping Val d'Or, it’s worth making a stop.

Lie down with a book in front of your tent, or enjoy a coffee and a croissant on the small terrace. Or maybe walk beside the River Clerve that runs right through the campsite. This river is a great place for children to play, they can have fun paddling, splashing or building dams.

Hiking in the Luxembourg Ardennes
There will always be a suitable hiking route for you in the Luxembourg Ardennes, whether you’re young or old. Several routes start from the campsite. Hiking fanatics can choose a sixteen kilometre route. If you prefer a short evening walk, one and a half kilometres is probably enough for you. If you set out at dawn or dusk, be extra quiet; you might spot rabbits, deer, a wild boar or a fox.
