Four-star Camping Du Viaduc is located directly beside the River Tarn and is a pleasant family campsite. The renovated sanitary facilities are heated for extra comfort. Tall trees provide welcome shade and the pitches are neatly bordered by greenery. The campsite is just 700 metres from the centre of Millau. Along the river you will find a small beach area where you can step straight into the water. In summer the water level is usually too low for proper swimming, but it is ideal for paddling and fishing. This medium-sized campsite offers 185 tourist grass pitches.
Swimming pool with water slide
Children will love splashing about in the swimming pool with its water slide. There is also a separate paddling pool with a play island for younger guests. The playground area features bouncy castles, swings and climbing equipment.
Plenty to do on and around the campsite
The River Tarn runs directly alongside the campsite – perfect for fishing, boating or wading in with water shoes. Activities include morning exercise sessions, pétanque tournaments, volleyball and, in the evenings, concerts, shows and themed events. The bar terrace is a lovely place to relax together. Thanks to its location within walking distance of Millau, you can easily stroll into town for dinner. A snack bar is also available on site.
The Millau Viaduct and impressive surroundings
Millau is famous for the spectacular Millau Viaduct, a vast cable-stayed bridge crossing the Tarn with a 343-metre-high pier – the tallest in the world. The surrounding landscape of deep valleys, limestone plateaus and dramatic cliffs invites long walks. The Causses-Cévennes region is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Outdoor adventure
Canoeing, white-water rafting, canyoning and even bungee jumping are possible here. Next to the campsite you will find a treetop adventure course. Other highlights include the Velorail du Larzac (25 km) and the pink Dargilan Cave (36 km).
