Looking to get away from it all? Camping Sonnenwiese is situated in a rolling landscape in Vlotho, a short distance from the River Weser. It is a place where you can truly unwind, featuring a fitness room, a sauna, and a solarium. Dogs are very welcome here and even have their own shower station. For swimming, there is a heated pool with a retractable roof, ensuring fun in all weathers. There is also a natural swimming pond surrounded by grass (please note: the banks slope steeply here).

Active or Relaxed?
The campsite is a perfect base for canoe trips on the Weser. Enjoy the scenery on a 17 to 18 km paddle towards Rinteln or Porta Westfalica, with the impressive Wiehen Hills in the background. Active guests can also play football or volleyball on the sports field. After a busy day outdoors, enjoy a meal at the campsite restaurant. The terrace offers lovely views of the surroundings, while children can play with friends in the playground. A shop is available on-site for daily groceries.

Sights and Theme Parks
Children will love a day out at 'Potts Park', located just 15 km away. Set on a former mining site, this is a charming, science-themed amusement park packed with authentic character. For culture and history, visit Hamelin (famous for the Pied Piper), the engineering marvels of Minden, Bückeburg Castle, or the historic university town of Rinteln.
