La Grande Tortue is a small and friendly parc enjoying a pretty location that also makes it ideal for for exploring the region. The campsite is situated next to an 800 hectare forest and close to the Loire river. There are various cycle and walking paths from the campsite. And different boat excursions for you to enjoy on the Loire river. Enjoy the beautiful environment from the water!

The owners here will always give you a friendly welcome and you will find that this is an ideal parc for those families who like things ‘rustic’ and ‘traditional’. Having said that, La Grande Tortue has a small but pleasant restaurant and a choice of family or children’s pools. Camping La Grande Tortue offers many recreational and sports activities for an unforgettable stay, such as archery, mini-golf and of course the heated swimming pools with slides. An entertainment team organises many activities in July and August: children's cooking classes, Western evenings and games, fashion shows and salsa evenings are just a few of the activities in this campsite's extensive and original entertainment programme.

This small parc is set among shady trees just a short walk from the pretty village of Candé-sur-Beuvron, close to the River Beuvron but very much off the usual tourist trail, amid pleasant, rural surroundings. Even so, there are shops and restaurants close to hand and you’re well placed to explore all the popular châteaux: including nearby Chaumont with its enchanting tree-lined setting, and elegant Cheverny. Just 13km away is one of the most popular towns in the Loire Valley: Blois. Blois has a great atmosphere and, thanks to its car-free streets, is safe to walk around. Blois also has many historical monuments, such as the Renaissance château of Blois and the St. Nicolas abbey church.
