You will discover Le Carbonnier campsite and holiday park in the part of the Dordogne known as the Périgord Noir, famed for its lifestyle and cuisine, a spot that exudes peace and quiet. You and your children can spend many happy hours in the heated covered pool or the outdoor pool with water slide. The youngest guests can play to their heart’s content in the playground, and in high season there’s a kids’ club led by an enthusiastic team to let them have fun with all kinds of activities. There’s a petting zoo on site, too, with pigs, hens, ponies, ducks and horses moseying around. Camping Le Carbonnier also boasts a bar, restaurant, takeaway service, washing machines, dryer, WiFi and a shop.
Camping Le Carbonnier has a recreation lake on which you can go canoeing but also just fish quietly at the water's edge. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the tennis and volleyball courts, miniature golf course and boules green.
Camping Carbonnier is located near the small picturesque village of Saint-Martial-de-Nabirat, here you can enjoy the local cuisine at the Michelin Star restaurant, just a 5 minute walk away.
Located where the Périgord meets Quercy, what makes Le Carbonnier campsite and holiday park special is the fact that it is close to the most picturesque of small Dordogne towns: Domme with its citadel, Sarlat, Les Eyzies, the Gouffre de Padirac, Rocamadour, and the chateaus of Beynac and Castelnaud.
Sample some of the delicacies of the Dordogne region including duck, truffles and foie gras pate at the Sarlat Market which runs every week on a Wednesday and Saturday. The city of Sarlat is just a 30 minutes by car, where you’ll find everything you need for your holiday including a supermarket and restaurants.
For a fun day trip why not explore some of the prehistoric caves the Dordogne is renowned for? The Lascaux caves, famous for their Palaeolithic cave paintings, lie in the Vézère Valley and are less than an hour away by car.
