La Pelonie

Four-star Camping La Pelonie is a charming and well-maintained campsite in the Périgord Blanc area of the Dordogne, just 18 kilometres from Périgueux. This family-friendly campsite is attractively landscaped with plenty of greenery, a welcoming café and an excellent restaurant with bar. The enthusiastic young owners organise a variety of activities, including barbecue and music evenings, canoe trips and treasure hunts for children.

Great facilities and water fun
The campsite features two heated swimming pools, one of which is covered. Younger children can enjoy a dedicated paddling pool, while three water slides provide extra excitement. Sun loungers surround the pool area for relaxation. Please note that tight-fitting swimwear is required. After a day by the pool, you can order a pizza at the restaurant and unwind on the spacious terrace with a refreshing drink.

Family-friendly atmosphere
During high season, an energetic team organises children’s activities such as craft mornings, sports tournaments and evening entertainment. There is also a trampoline and various climbing structures. The play area is located close to the restaurant terrace, allowing parents to keep an eye on their children. In the surrounding area you can visit the Rouffignac caves, a prehistoric park or one of the many castles. Canoeing on the Dordogne is also a popular activity.

Périgueux boasts no fewer than 44 historic monuments, including the 12th-century Saint-Front Cathedral, the Jardin des Arènes, the Vésone Tower and Château Barrière. The Lascaux Cave near Montignac offers impressive prehistoric artwork. A visit to Sarlat-la-Canéda is a true highlight, known for its remarkable concentration of historic buildings.
