Camping Le Col Vert is a family friendly campsite on the banks of the Lac de Léon in the Aquitaine region which has a secluded position in the forest of Les Landes.

In low season this is a peaceful place to relax and unwind. During July and August the atmosphere is lively with various activities and facilities, which make Le Col Vert a great choice for families with teenagers.

The campsite swimming pool complex has a covered and heated swimming pool, outside pool and a colourful children’s water playground with water slides, jets and sprays. There is also a new ‘Caribbean Beach’ with fine sand, sun loungers and a beach club atmosphere. The campsite has a wellness centre with spa, sauna and beauty treatments are available.

In addition to the swimming pools, there is direct access to the Lac de Léon and the many water sports available like windsurfing, paddle boarding and boating. There is a beach near Lac de Léon with a twisty water slide and a three-lane water slide.

Explore the nature reserve that borders Le Col Vert or the charming Courant d’Huchet river on foot or bicycle. The stylish resorts of Bayonne and Biarritz are just over an hour’s drive and are steeped in history with museums and cathedrals. Further afield the Pyrenees provide high mountain terrain towards the Spanish border with San Sebastian’s old town offering a great taste of Spain.

Erg grote camping met mooie zwembad met fijne glijbanen en lekker bij het meer gelegen. Goede en veel voorzieningen. Fijn is het busje dat gratis naar de stranden rijdt. Verder is de camping zoooo groot dat je wel een fiets nodig hebt.

TIPS:

"Een groot fietsgebied en wandelgebied."

Vanaf deze fijne gezinscamping veel te doen. Zon, zee en uitdagende zeewater... Veel watersportmogelijkheden. Kiten was ons ding en het bezoek aan Spanje san Sebastian is een echte aanrader. Keurig sanitair. Het meertje is ook leuk. Leon een leuk klein plaatsje, vandaar mooie wandeling gemaakt. Verder kun je met je fiets leuke tochten maken en de stadjes bezoeken. Pizza's op de camping zijn echt wel lekker..

Een hele natuurrijke camping met een prachtig meer, zwembad én een strand op een paar KM afstand. Voor de echte waterratten dus! Het is een echte Franse camping, met Frans animatieteam en de 'laissez-faire' houding. Vinden wij wel grappig. Alles is schoon en netjes (en dat voor Frankrijk!) en het uitzicht is heel mooi! Het eten in het restaurant is een beetje een tegenvaller, maar als je een stukje loopt of de auto pakt vindt je zo andere plekjes om te eten.

Wij zijn hier 2 jaar geleden geweest. Was toen een fijne goed georganiseerde camping. Boodschappen kun je goed doen op de camping. Wij hadden een fijn chaletje, zag er best netjes uit en zelfs schoon. Was voor ons op dat moment en topcamping, zal voor jonge gezinnen in het hoogseizoen vast ook erg leuk zijn.

Onze gezinnetje 2 ouders en 2 jonge kindjes heeft hier een topvakantie gehad. Zijn bijna de camping niet afgeweest. Schoon sanitair, aardig behulpzaam personeel. De boodschappen kun je bij de winkel van de camping doen. Het zwembad is schoon en er waren altijd wel bedjes vrij. Zoeken je kinderen animatie, die is er maar wel Frans.

In het voorjaar is dit dus een heeeele stille camping. Wij waren hier namelijk in de meivakantie en dan is niet alles open. Gelukkig wel het zwembad dus onze kinderen hebben zich goed vermaakt. Ik moet wel zeggen dat ik me afvraag hoe druk het hier is in het hoogseizoen? Maar goed wij hebben het in mei hier top gehad, hadden ook wel mooi weer (geluk gehad). Volgend jaar gaan we de andere kant op van Frankrijk, kijk hoe het daar is in de meivakantie.
