Situated between Deauville and Cabourg, set in the heart of the Calvados region and overlooking the pretty seaside resort of Houlgate in Normandy, the Four Star La Vallee is a very comfortable campsite. You will like its tree and flower filled park covering 11 hectares (approx. 27 acres). Its undulating aspect with superb views over the sea and the ton of Houlgate, with its pure Norman style buildings. At the heart of the site is the old Norman manor house, now housing a friendly bar overlooking the pool complex.

The parc is scattered with flowering hedges and fruit trees, with some of the excellent facilities housed in a beautifully converted Norman building, and a wealth of activities to keep children occupied. There are superb pools, one of which has a retractable roof, waterslide, well-equipped play area, and even an ‘animateur’ who arranges a wide variety of activities for the whole family, including discos in the games room and Karaoke nights. The parc managers are very proud of their superb family parc and are also keen for regulations to be respected.

With a toddler pool, children’s pool and two family pools, this parc caters for all ages. Add to this four waterslides and you have a waterpark built for fun and action. The outdoor pools offer the chance to swim in the glorious sunshine whilst the covered pools provide an all weather option so nothing can stop your fun. Have a dip on the Jacuzzi or enjoy a lie down on a sunlounger while the kids splash around in their specially designed pools.

The D-Day landing beaches are a must-see, and are very easily reached from Houlgate. There are many WWII museums in easy reach too, one of which houses the Bayeux Tapestry, in Bayeux. The port town of Caen is also close by, as well as the fashionable resort of Deauville, perfect for shopping and eating out.
