Beschrijving
Located in the southern Aveyron, within walking distance of the small village of Saint-Rome-de-Tarn, lies Camping de la Cascade. This small 4-star campsite prides itself on warm hospitality. Situated on terraced grounds, some roads and paths can be quite steep, but rest assured: assistance with positioning caravans is available on-site. The riverside location is perfect for water lovers. Will it be a canoe trip, paddleboarding (SUP), or a relaxing ride on a pedalo? The famous Millau Viaduct is just 15 kilometres away.
Small-Scale and Family-Friendly
The lovely swimming pool is perfect for cooling off on hot days, followed by some relaxation on the sun terrace. During the high season, fun activities are regularly organised. Active guests can join guided hikes or mountain bike tours in the summer. Of course, you can also enjoy various water sports on the River Tarn right from the campsite; simply hire a canoe or pedalo and take in the natural beauty.
Explore the Tarn Valley
This region is packed with stunning sights. The Millau Viaduct, the Gorges du Tarn, and the magnificent village of La Couvertoirade are all worth a visit. La Couvertoirade is a fortified Templar village; enter through the ancient gate and wander through a maze of narrow streets and alleyways. You can even walk along the ramparts for great views. The Gorges du Tarn offers a rugged slice of France, comparable to the Verdon Gorge. Be sure to visit Sainte-Enimie, officially listed as one of the 'Most Beautiful Villages in France', located right in the gorge.
